Dr Andrea J. Garrett

Dr Andrea Garrett graduated from the University of Queensland Medical School in 1996. She commenced Obstetrics and Gynaecology training and was granted Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in 2007. She then commenced subspecialty training in the field of Gynaecologic Oncology and spent time in Melbourne and Perth. In 2008 she was granted the Certificate of Gynaecologic Oncology. She also completed a Graduate Diploma in Palliative Care (Flinders University) in 2007.

Her practice includes general gynaecology, the management of gynaecological malignancy of the ovary, uterus, cervix, ovaries and vulva, colposcopy and the management of pre-invasive lesions of the cervix, vagina and vulva, complex pelvic surgery and laparoscopic surgery. She manages women with hereditary conditions who require risk-reducing surgery. She also has a special interest in the management of Gestational Trophoblastic Disease.

Her private practice is located at The Wesley Hospital with consulting rooms on site. Andrea also sees private patients at Eve Health in South Bank. She also has a commitment to the public sector and is a part time Staff Specialist at the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital.
