Empower Life: Nurturing Strength and Resilience in pregnancy and beyond.

This 2.5hour workshop delivered by an expert pelvic health physiotherapist, aims to convey a sense of empowerment and resilience for those along the journey from pregnancy to postpartum.

The session is most beneficial from  15 – 20 weeks’ gestation. While there is a focus on pelvic health, there is a focus on wellbeing and up-to-date evidence to guide you and your support team.

This course is facilitated by Alexandra Diggles of Pelviology who has created a comprehensive and informative program.

Workshop Overview

Holistic Wellbeing During Pregnancy:

This session will focus on addressing the holistic needs concerning pelvic health, including physical, mental, and emotional aspects.

Common fears during pregnancy will be explored to prevent pelvic health issues.

Pelvic Fitness and Strength Training:

This part of the session will involve tailored exercises for pre- and post-childbirth, including demonstrations to engage participants in specific pelvic floor exercises. Collaborating with you, we will offer guidance on building and sustaining pelvic strength for overall well-being during and after pregnancy.

Mind-Body Connection:

Beyond the physical aspect, this session will introduce mindfulness techniques to enhance the connection between the mind and body.

It will cover breathing exercises for relaxation and stress relief, contributing to improved labor and pain management.

Communication Strategies for Wellness:

Discover effective methods to address pelvic health concerns during the ante-natal and post-natal periods, focusing on communication with healthcare providers and partners.

Importance of Collaboration:

Emphasize the importance of inclusive activities involving partners in the childbirth and recovery processes. Gain insights on creating a supportive home environment during the ante-natal and post-natal stages.

Moving Forward:

Acquire early recovery strategies to progress on your recovery journey with practical steps and skills.
